This page explains what data I collect when you use this site, why and for how long.
Who handles your data
The data controller is Mattia Tiozzo, Corso Chieti 30, Torino, Italy, VAT number 13449990012. For any question about your data, write to me at mattia.tiozzo.dev@gmail.com.
What data I collect
I only collect data when you fill in one of the two forms on the site:
- Get a quote (/en/estimate): your answers to the questions about the project, the description you write, your name and your email.
- Contact me (/en/contact): your name, your email and your message.
When you send a form or the site shows you suggestions for the description, the server calculates a code derived from your IP address, which cannot be traced back to the address. It is only used to limit repeated submissions and deletes itself after one hour.
Please don’t write data in the forms that isn’t needed, especially health data or other special categories of data.
Why I use it
I use your data only to reply to you and, if you ask, to prepare a quote. The legal basis is your request: these are pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The code derived from your IP is based on my legitimate interest in protecting the site from abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)).
The requested data is needed to reply to you: without a name and an email I can’t do it.
The estimate you see on the quote page is calculated automatically from your answers, but it is only a rough guide: it is not a decision that has effects on you. I decide the real price after talking with you.
Where it goes
- Google Firebase: the forms reach a Google Cloud service and are stored in a database with servers in Belgium (region europe-west1). Google processes the data on my behalf.
- Email service: when a request arrives I get an email notification that contains the form data.
- Anthropic: on the quote page, before the description box, the site may show you some suggestions written by an Anthropic AI model. The model only receives the fixed answers you chose (for example the type of project), never your name, your email or what you write.
I don’t sell or give your data to anyone and I don’t use it for advertising.
How long I keep it
Requests and messages are deleted automatically after 12 months. If you become a client in the meantime, I keep the data needed for the work and for invoicing for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
At any time you can ask me to see your data, correct it, delete it, limit its use, receive a copy or object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15–22 GDPR). Write to me at mattia.tiozzo.dev@gmail.com: I’ll reply within one month.
If you think your data is being handled incorrectly, you can file a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
Cookies
This site uses no cookies. It saves only two technical preferences in your browser, the language and the currency of the prices, chosen by you or suggested by the country you visit from: they contain no personal data and are not used to recognise you. There are no visitor statistics, ads or social media buttons, and the fonts are hosted on the site itself. That’s why you won’t find any cookie banner.
